 OUR LEATHERS

At Paradise Row, we craft our luxury leather goods using only the finest vegetable-tanned leather, sourced from esteemed EU tanneries that meet the highest environmental and ethical standards. This traditional, chromium-free tanning process - a centuries-old artisanal leather craftsmanship technique - uses only natural tannins from bark, leaves, and fruit. Practiced by just 10% of the global leather industry, this sustainable leather method reflects our commitment to quality and responsibility.

Each cowhide undergoes a slow tanning process lasting six months to a year, allowing the leather to develop its signature thickness, durability, and organic texture. The result is a superior material with a natural grain that holds its shape and patinas beautifully with time. This makes it perfect for hand-stitching, wet moulding, and crafting high-end leather accessories, including wallets, cardholders, and luggage.

Beyond its sustainability, vegetable-tanned leather delivers rich, deep tones that evolve with use - making every piece unique. It also features the distinct, earthy aroma of authentic leather, prized by true leather connoisseurs.

Unlike most leather accessories available, that are coated in synthetic pigments, our leather matures with age and wear, becoming softer, more supple, and entirely individual. Each Paradise Row leather accessory tells a story - growing more beautiful, personal, and timeless over the years.

LUXURY LEATHER CARE

Leather is a timeless, natural material that, with proper care, can age beautifully and last for decades - often becoming treasured heirloom leather accessories passed down through generations. Though it is prone to drying and aging, luxury leather thrives with the right care and attention.

To protect your premium leather goods and preserve their beauty, we recommend a few essential leather maintenance tips to keep them in pristine condition for years to come.

Begin by gently cleaning your leather accessory with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture and allow the leather to dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight. Once fully dry, apply a small amount of natural beeswax using circular motions. Allow the wax to absorb over several hours for optimal results.

Beeswax restores hydration to the leather, keeping it supple, resilient, and protected from the elements. It also helps reduce the appearance of light scratches, enhancing the overall finish of the leather.

Regularly following these luxury leather care practices ensures that your handcrafted leather pieces - from wallets to cardholders - will continue to develop a rich patina, telling a story unique to you.
